Looking at my harnesses the other night an the lap belts go backwards to go into the slots in my seats, so I'm after moving the mounting points.

I've bought some msa reg mounting plates, would it be ok to just go straight through the rear floorpans? I looked at going through the rear heelboard but this would bring the belts near horizontal with the floorpans which is no good either...

So yeah, would going through the floor an further down the tunnel be ok?

Cheers,
Tom

You need to look at the blue book and the recommended angle of the lap belts.

I have one mounted to the tunnel and the other with the plate welded directly to the floor. I tried to get it mounted as close to the sill a possible as that's where the strength is, but it's still on the flat bit of the floor. If this makes sense?

at most the mounting is onlt 4" behind the rear of the seat

Cheers wil, yeah that makes sence, you put it a lot better then I did. Recomended angle of the belts is 45* according to securon so this should work out good..
