I lost mine during the 10 years of restoring my 1980 clubman estate.
The red colored commission plate and the black/silver chasis number plate.
They are both rivited [correct spelling?] onto the bonnet slam panel.

The chasis number is stamped in on the paravan.Still original so no problem.

And the comission number is spot welded on the small plate on the bonnet slam panel.
Replaced the panel and spot welded the plate back on.

I found some new one´s.
They for sale at almost every mini supplier out there.

But they are all not stamped....off course..

I need stamped one´s.
Better still...REVERSE stamped one´s.!

Is there any supplier how makes them on special order ?
Any tips , idea´s , suggestions ,links etc.is welcome.

I dont know if it´s legal to ask this,i will found out i guess.
Thanks already.

minimail can stamp the vin plates and commission numbers, but they need your log book to do it for you.

My logbook, a Dutch one!, is no problem.
But do they know the diffrent for a foreigner logbook.?
Mine doent say anything about the commission number.
Only chasis number is written down.

I had the same thing happen when I resorted my MG, I bought a blank plate on line, can't remember where I got it from but as you said loads of places sell blanks and then I had a chat with a little local engineering company and they stamped it return for a small donation to their tea boat. Probably not the official way to do it but was an easy fix.

Ok,
Found 2 suppliers who claim to make them on request.
Send a email to both the companies.
1 to minimail as suggested bij apelbellamy.
And 1 email to the company i've been avoiding for years due to bad experiances in the past..*5$#@ mini sport.

So now waiting for answers.
Still wondering if they need my logbook..
Them guys can't even read it..cause it's in Dutch..
