Done a search and found mixed reviews, some say use standard, some say 1.3's, some even use 1.5's, so what does everyone recommend? What are peoples experience with them? Are they worth the money over, let's be honest, perfectly good standard rockers?

Cheers lads.

I'd be tempted to stick with standard mate unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

I don't think there will be masses of gain.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

No, I had the same result as Wolfie. Killed low-down power and made engine peaky.

Likewise.

They need slightly greater clearances too which makes the engine tappety.

I had standard on my engine and always found it really drivable despite 8.1:1 CR. If I'd had more money I would have put 1.3:1 roller rockers on to stop it side loading the valve stems.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the phase 2 valve clerences i always run these at 0.012" inlets and 0.014" exhausts.

1.3 roller rockers are more kinder to the valve guides

yes it's funny how years ago EVERY one said o yes use the 1.5 rockers, now look at all the people on here that don't! As Turbo Hogster said years ago, us the 1.3 and your engine will live longer!
