I buy them in boxes of ten from my local Unipart motor factors, they are zinc plated genuine Jubilee brand hose clips.
Unipart factors have the contract to supply the AA patrol vans so they usually have plenty. They are not that dear really, maybe expensive the first time you buy a stock, but then I just buy a box of whatever size as and when.

Same as tom whenever I've needed any, except from halfords. (always check the quantities in the box though as they're off the shelf) Only worth using if ypu have a trade card though.

Halfords sell unplated crap that rust as soon as you get them damp.

Strange, I've had some on all my coolant hoses for over 6 months and they were fine, they were all on the old engine when i sold them.

From Sheffield now live in York tha noz

My local mechanic uses beal, WWW.beal.org.uk, myself and a few others stick bits on his orders to get them over 50 quid and free post, delivery is around 4 quid below that. They have mixed packs of zinc plated and stainless, never ordered any so not sure on the brand but they are aimed at trade, may be worth an email?

Got my flexing hose clip driver from there, one of the best tools I have ever bought

Anywhere that sells compressors and air tools should be able to get good stuff.

Jubilee, JCS and I think there are a few other brands that do a wide band stainless range of clips.

Just google "stainless worm drive" and various sellers appear.

Use Beal a lot and they can be quite cheap, think they have special offers on the website if you keep checking it

cheers all for the ideas; I've been thinking about the sizes i need and I'm probably better just buying seprate boxes of 10 of each of the sizes i will use on the mini. The mixed box sets have a load i'll probably not use

Im sure halfords sell 2 types, one type are cheap and nasty and rust in no time the more expensive ones last well without corroding.

I get genuine jubilee's from dingbro in boxes at a time same as tom, though i only buy the conmmon sizes, to stingy to take the big hit for a full rack. Wurth do decent worm drive clips including a nice rack and driver if you have an accound there? know you work in that sort of trade.
