Interesting....

I have managed to find a place that is selling what they told me are std metro turbo piston rings.

My dilemma is the cost is only £5 cheaper tan the total seal ones.

The question is ... to go with standard or total seal ones???

Any help is very much appreciated.

Buy total seal. At least you know for sure they will be right.

Why not find out if they are the real thing for sure. How hard can it be?

Maybe some people have better things to do. I think I'd rather spend an extra fiver than risk getting the wrong rings.

Looking at previous posts regarding the wrong oil scraper ring supply, i am tempted to simply go down the total seal ring route.

anyone seen / heard of excessive wear in bores through total seal rings?

Me and Andy ran TS rings in the van. No problems.

only for about 2k miles though. had no sign of wear in the bores and the honing still looked good

A bit more info.... just spoke with said supplier of the std tyurbo rings but the oil rings they have are 3mm, which i believe is incorrect and they should be 3.5mm.

Total seal it is then.
