You need a bulk head box to get everything to fit which means you got to cut a big hole & seam weld the box in. There available from many mini spares shops |

You probably need to lean the engine forward a bit with an adjustable top steady. When minis changed to HIF type carbs (rather than HS) they moved the engine forward by a few mm.

Did they do a 1275 auto in 89? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I thought all the later autos were 1275. I know someone who had a 'Sprite' that was a 1275 auto. That was an Spi though, so later than 89.

Sorry about not giving the full info. Yes you right it is 1275 auto out of a 95 model rover. I am only planing to run about 6 or 7 psi the tops. Plan is to build a rear mount turbo.

We've had this discuaaion before. iirc, the general consensus was that the auto box would be strong enough, but the low (off boost) power might be a problem, something to do with the way the torque converter works. I'm no expert to be honest.
