Hi,

I'm going to a scrap yard tomorrow to get the bits needed for Megajolt from a 1998 ford fiesta.

First off, are the parts from this car going to be compatible with megajolt?

Also, i'll be removing it myself, so where is everything placed? will i need any special tools?

Thanks,

Mike

Hey buddy. Nic has done quite a good write up here. If you use the "search" feature on the website, you will find endless amounts of answers to your questions.

here is the link

"EDIS Module
This is mounted on the bulkhead of the fiesta and simply unbolts."

"Trigger Sensor
The trigger sensor is located on the front of the fiesta block and simply unbolts, follow the wiring and it runs right the way round the engine bay into a large group of wires."

"Coil Pack
The coil pack is mounted on the back of the block of the fiesta but is easily reachable when the air filter is removed."

If you take a socket set and set of spanners with the common sizes, 10,13, 17,19 mm you should be ok for most things. If I remember rightly there are some torx hex bolts that hold the coil pack in place (can be awkward). Also take some wire cutters for snipping the edis module out (leave as must wire on as you can as its easier to shorten it later rather than replace it if cut too short). Also take a few sizes of screwdrivers to be safe. It was a while ago that I went but that "should" be enough.

Everyone feel free to add if I have missed something essential.

Thanks again :)

Had a search on google but cant find and definitive confirmation that this car has the right bits for megajolt. Wikipedia says 1990-1993 fiestas, this is a 98, and i get the impression the owner doesn't know much about it.. (on the upside he doesn't know what it's worth, so saving some money) :)

Can you not just blank off the pipe?

I belive you can but its a maf sensor one, most people use the non pipe sensor ones plus there are more about, while your at it may as well get the coil pack and the inertia switch at the same time, also easy job using either 10mm bolts or + head screws. Normally on the passanger side bulkhead under the dash.

So is it worth putting on my turbo build? And where is it/how easy is it to take off?
