Running a non turbo 1275 with a 3 branch manifold, and having problems. The problem is i've been using the metro turbo inlet manifold and i've had to space the carb out more for the rev cable to clear the back of the carb, and i cant quiet work out why its running so bad, whats happenin is you put your foot down and theres no pick up and it seems and backfire quiet alot. I wonderin what the problem could be? What problem would be caused by spacing carb out more? cheers

I presume you mean speedo cable?

The metro turbo inlet for NA applications is a poor choice, put an MG metro one one and flog the turbo one. As a bonus, everything will clear better too.

Sounds like you need to put oil in the dashpot to me.

I'm getting a diff inlet cause i was thinkin that it was runnin bad. It is the rev cable cos it has a half moon thing for the cable and it was hitting on the back of the inlet when it moves.

so i spaced to carb out to miss the back of the inlet but it runs bad, just wondered if i change the timing would that make up for it?
