Hi all,

I am a sucker when it comes to using new shiny bolts, and I have also not got the full compliment of original bolts to attach the timing cover to my engine. So today I have measured the lengths of the originals and ordered some from Namrick.

Being the sort of chap I am, I ordered a few times what I needed so that if anyone off here wants any I can do them a kit.
They are not the original type with the reduced head, they are full sized hex heads, but I have checked with my sockets and there is plenty of room to get them on the heads without fouling the cover.

I ordered enough to do my car and 2 lots spare, so if anyones interested post back here. I don't know the cost until I get the invoice, but I will only be charging what they cost me plus a quid or so to cover the post to anyone that wants them.

Cheers

A good link! The ones I ordered are not stainless, just zinc plated steel....:(

However they should work out a hell of a lot cheaper than £7!!!!

y, but they got to make some money! I bought a capped bolt timing cover kit, and some of the bolts needed trimming to length or they would hit the block and push the timing plate away from the block and close to the chain. Bear that in mind!

Yes, the 5/16 ones are easy to get in the right length, but getting the 1/4" ones short enough is tricky. I might need to dress the ends up on the 1/4 ones so they don't hit the block like you say.
