All the wiring i have done so far has been basic radial and ring mains so no real issues.

All the wiring i have done so far has been basic radial and ring mains so no real issues. I have 3 banks of lighting to wire in the garage onto a 3 gang switch, my question is do i take the current feed to the lightswitch and loop in the back of the switch and then the 3 feeds out to the lights or do i run 2 extra feeds from the mcb to each swinch in? i dont see an issue with looping as the total watts are only 348 for all the lights and all the lighting has been done in 1.5 but was not sure if this is the "correct" way an electrician would do it. Domestic wiring usually has a common neutral/earth round all lighting points. It's optional to carry a permanent live with this depending on the actual installation and wire type used. But the switch itself generally only needs a single live wire, which will then be linked across to all switches. From there, a single live wire to each bank of lights. This "switched live" will also need linked to each and every light you want to come on with that switch. ( and the neutral/earth should already be covered. ) The actual live feed to the switch can be in single form ( single+earth ) or as part of a twin red ( or now twin brown ). One being the permanent live to power the switches, and the other the switched return path to that bank of lights. Draw it out on a piece of paper then decide what is the most efficient use of whatever wire types you actually have. Regardless of an earth terminal at any switches etc, you still need to carry an earth with the live wiring. 9.85 @ 145mph

The earth and nautral is fine and already wired though out, but you have answered my question with regards to one live feed to the switch or 3
