only way to find out is measure with a mulitmeter to ground. check all the wires to make sure non are broken etc or have chafed.

has it got the right amp fuse in it 1stly

either do as iain suggests or try this

a good way to check for a short ive found is to replace the fuse with a bulb i.e fog lamp bulb (has to be a big wattage one) put the bulb in a holder, with 2 wires on ti and 2 crocadile clips.when the bulb is lit brightly the short is there(i.e when the fuse will pop) so now go around dissconnecting things and wiggling wires when the bulb goes out or is glowing very very dull youve found the area then repair as nessarsary,*smiley*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
