Experience with Peter Burgess RR?

My car needs a set up now everything has bedded in and the closest Rolling road is Peter Burgess.
Has anyone off here used him before, and was he good?

Im thinking of booking in this week.

Never heard anything bad about him

a few people on here have used him and found him to be good, i think one person had a problem though. I can't remember who it was.

He did set his ignition timing to 31deg. On his turbo motor and it later went bang, yours may be ok there with it being na.

Its a toss up between Peter Burgess and Smart performance, going to Smart performance later this year for a power run but thought Peter might have a bit more experience with webers?

Dont just choose a rr because its close. Speak to kad or find out if the rr are familiar with there engines.

The engine should be no different to any other twin cam 4 cylinder engine. KAD said find so robe who is good with Webers. It's only for a final tune up. Should only be minor adjustments.

Northampton motorsport get good reviews

dont be supprised if you carnt get in this week tho, usually if there quiet and can fit you in soon theres uaualy a reason why!!

Yeah Northampton Motorsport are top notch, I would go there if the engine hadn't been previously set up. In fact my mate has been there today with his sprint car.

I've got in at pete burgess on Thursday, it's short notice so we shall see what it's like.

ive never delt with him personally other than him telling me he wasnt interested tin setting my car up but he does seem to have a good reputation, and he has written tuning books

Peter is a great bloke, he has the same rolling road as mine. We ordered from the states at the same time.

It was mine that went bang he's a canny bloke but I didn't think he was as clued up on using the rr & setting cars up as he should of been I think he's more into modifying heads but that's just my personal experience as everything he done on mine was wrong

I have used him to tune my last mini na engine. Seems a good guy, mini went well, was a flyer. He is currently working on my turbo head as we speak.

He seems to have lots of knowledge and put me in contact with several people for parts etc.

so far i cant complain.

I,m sure I will be corrected if I am wrong buI Northampton Motorsport wont touch Megajolt unless you agree that they may completely fuck it up and lose all your settings. They refused to look at mine last year once they heard that it had MJ, saying that there were too many ways to get it wrong.

Peter was very gd to me, id recomed him to anyone, he seemed to know his webers too

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

Will be interested to hear what it makes, as you said it made 149bhp on their engine dyno when new, so a good way to see if the RR is accurate. something a little above that at the fly will be good news, good luck. :)

When matt argent put his on turbo on peters Dyno he said it was something like 10-20% out, be interesting to see.
