Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

in the middle *happy*

no kidding either, they want to be in the middle of the seat for a good angle. some nice big plates to spread the load on the back mind.

mines going onto the cage so it doesnt really matter to me!

In the middle really as Iain says. Definately not at the top, as you want the belts angled down slightly to hold you down into the seat in the event of a serious "off".

A lot of people (including me in the past) have mounted the belts in the "corner" between the rear seat back and pan. This can be OK, just make sure the angle between the belt and horizontal is not more than 45 degrees. If it is too steep you can risk breaking the seat in the event of an accident and injuring yourself.
Mounting the belts at the corner also allows you to keep the rear seats in to keep noise down/tidy up the insides. Up to you really, just make sure there is sufficient strenghtening behind the area you choose, I have used both plates and a length of box section and long bolts before now.

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

in my old mini i couldnt pass an mot with harnesses fitted at the base of the rear seat (non rear seat belt model) as they were not a design area for the seat belts to be fitted, i had large spreader plates there but it was a no no
