Can someone please give me the appropriate valve clearances for sodium filled valves in a T Head.
Also what is the story with the anti run-on valve fitted to the carby? Do I need this and how does it work?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the correct valve clearences dan for a standard turbo is................................

inlet 0.014in (0.35mm)

exhaust 0.016in (0.40mm)

if you chose to use a sportier cam consult the cam grinders spec!

the anti run on valve was a saftey feature for the metro

most of us just blank this off

if its left open this port on the carb the engine will missfire under boost as the float bowl has to be 3 to 4 psi above boost pressure

under certain curcumstances some of us Tee a pipe in from the plenum chamber to this port

so you are getting boost pressure from the plenum

(the same line) which comes from the TOP of the fuel regulator

this is the way to go with out going into detail

This is known as the TEE peice trick

hope i havent confused you
