Does any one know how much force it takes to pull a raw bolt out of a brick wall? Or know where I can find out?

I'm in the process of mounting some large brackets which will be taking a fair bit of weight and I'd feel alot happier if I could crunch the numbers and work out how much weight the will take as opposed to just blindly guess.

Depends on fixing type, and of course exactly the material they are going into.

What is it you're doing and how are the loads placed on the bolt ?

Even a wedge anchor into a concrete ceiling will hold a huge vertical load

Softer brick will of course be less, and if very soft, rawl bolt may not be the best fixing to use.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
