Hey

How do you guys fasten your down pipe to the gearbox. Any pictures would be great.

I just use a made-up plate similar to what the metro had - it mounts to the gearbox using the two lower rear bolts that hold the (clutch side) diff cover in place. I then bolted an exhaust clamp to this plate, around the downpipe (again, like the metro). Works a treat!

I can't get any pics for around a week or so unfortunately...

Forgot to say - many don't even bother with the lower clamp, but as mine has the pleasure of pot-holes and parking humps, it seemed like a good idea...

and it stops ity blowing.

i used the original gearbox bracket, then bolted a piece of steel to the bracket then welded it to the down pipe. bit like you do for a lcb

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Thanks guys. thats why I want it on to stop it blowing at the turbo
