I need to reduce the depth of a blind hole ie: main cap stud hole. I was concidering Loctite chemical metal. Any other recomendations or is this a good choice as I've known it used on cylinder heads before.

Assuming the hole is threaded, what about cutting a piece of threaded stud to length and cutting a slot in the end. That way you can screw it in and out as required |

use a grub screw :] I did it at college with my assessment bit drill hole to deep so in went a grub screw, teacher didn't know |
