HI,

bit of a long and crappy story, got a turbo engine, stripped it, measured the bores and parts etc, measured up excellent, ordered new parts including total seal rings (not cheap), got the block honed and cleaned to find the block had been hiding some pretty decent pitts, apparent when clean, i dont want to run new rings in a pitted bore, or go +20 due to the new total seals rings etc.

the only options i can think of are

Try sending the rings back, thus spending alot more on bigger pistons and rings and bore the block +20 etc
Get the block bored and lined (sleeved), rough price quoted £200 so far.
find a decent 1275 block and use that.

thank you

David

The rings should be easy enough to offload if they are for standard metro turbo pistons.

I'd probably get some cast omegas, and bore the block +0.20 but it depends on budget really, at least then you have a fresh engine.

Of course if someone is looking for a block to go to 1380 and has a good 1275 one then a swop could be in order.
