It's either a 38 or a 44, just measure the diameter of the bore to find out which. one day boost will be mine!

Yeah, either a 38 or 44. Depends what engine, i wouldn't fit a 44 on a 998 unless its of a high tune. 38 will do on a standard 1275, but no good on a tuned one again.

Thought these could have been off a rover v8 but wasnt sure. Chap I know has some on the 3.5 in his lightweight. He had cone filters on his though. A lot of people turn to webers as the 44 Isn't good enough supposedly. If it can supply enough air for 1.75l of engine, It's more than capable enough of anything in my opinion! It would work, you'll have to set something up for the choke though

I don't believe that search page! Apparantly a 1968 Wolseley Hornet 998cc has TWO carbs.... On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Thats because it is a search page, you type in the FZX number and it tells you the history!

Not sure Joe, ours has a single HS2, an airbox with a cooper service sticker on, and we can't figure out the numbers on the head. It's remote change too. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Or, fit a mini one, but you will most likely have to drill and tap two holes into the body of the carb to hold the choke mechanism in place. |

Throttle at the top and choke at the bottom!
