Hi, I've got a Jack Knight LSD (multi plate type) and at the moment it is too stiff, I know you can thin the plates on a surface grinder to reduce the pre-load but rather than do that I was wondering about having a couple of new ones laser/waterjet cut and ground so I have original spares if it gets too loose.

If this is ok to do, what material would they need to be? I was assuming mild steel would be a bit soft, and not sure what else you can really get in plate form that would be suitable. The mini's going to be for general rallying, don't know exactly what the future will hold for it yet after our local club meets to get it started!

Cheers,
TC

Hello mate quick question, how many splines on the output shaft where it slots into the sun gear? And how many bolts on the crown wheel?
