hi everyone,

well the time has come to order a wideband AFR, so i just want to confirm ,is this one in the link what most are using?is it any good? does it come with everything needed? as i remember someone saying it usually cost around 180-200 quid and this one is 128 postage included.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=270660136399

also has anyone bought one off that seller, what was your experience?

cheers

By the time the import duty and whatever else they can charge you for, it will end up roughly the normal price I think.

Just had a look on customs and for items under £135 from outside the uk only vat is payable so this would cost £153 ish

Vems. For a little extra on those mentioned above (£190 for gauge and WBO2 sensor) you'll get an EGT amplifier and boost controller. You'll also never have to calibrate it.

http://shop.vems.hu/catalog/roundwbo2egt-p...ml?currency=GBP

If you don't want to buy from their webshop (even though you won't pay any other taxes since Hungary is a European state) BAT on here is an authorised distributor. BAT hasn't been on here for a while but if you do decide you wan't one, I'm always speaking with him, so can pass on your details.

Think about it. Boost Controller.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

That looks a great bit of kit. How do Bats prices compare, does he have a site ?

I don't think there is much in it TBH, either you give a little to a guy trying to make a living in the UK (and believe me, it is a little) or you give it all to the Hungarians. With the price much the same, I know what I'd do *wink*

You don't need to buy the WBO2 sensor from Vems either, you can buy any VAG or Bosch sensor from any motor factors, but it is a good price. as nice as the EGT sensor is the EGT sensor only really needs to be a type K thermocouple which you can pick up for about £12.

BAT (Gavin) has a web site http://www.doyouneedabrain.co.uk/wbgauge.htm But It looks like its not been updated in a while. I know Gavin has been busy building a new workshop at his house and has been working away alot too.
