IT wizards please help!

I have replaced a hard drive in a machine with an Aopen motherboard with the Intel 945 chipset and Realtek onboard audio. I have downloaded all the most recent drivers and installed them. Windows XP up to service pack 3, yet I still get a warning when trying to install the Audio drivers. The warning I get is "Microsoft Bus driver should be loaded in your system before installing Realtek HD Audio driver!"

I'm lost what to do next

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Mike, without trying to sound as if I'm being a cunt, I am not that computer numb

I installed a fresh copy of windows XP, then installed the all the chipset and bunled drivers from the motherboard driver disc. It threw up this warning then.

I have since updated ALL drivers available for this Motherboard from Aopen, still the same. Updated windows to SP1, still the same, SP2 the same, SP3 the same.

I find a Microsoft hot fix for the high definition audio driver KB888111 downloaded and installed only to find that it doesnt like SP3. Uninstall SP3, install the KB888111 fix and it is no different.

Microsoft is SHITE!

Right!

Finaly sorted the little fucker! when I say little, I mean little http://global.aopen.com/products_detail.aspx?Auno=2074

Helps if the onboard audio is enabled in BIOS. However the driver installation package still brings up that warning.

Windows add hardware wizard on the other hand, now that it can see the audio chip set, happilly, automatically found and installed everything required, and it works a treat.

Yay!!! Three hours of my life i'll never get back lol.

The bit in your computer that makes the noises. You plug your speakers in to it so you can hear the girl moaning when you are watching films on porn tube.

And for the next lesson. The graphics card is the bit that helps make titties appear on the screen. Lol

Yeh, Doh!

Still didn't solve the initial problem though haha.

Computers are great when they work. They're the greatest evil when they don't

Hear Here! :)

Major organisations are having to upgrade not because they want to, but because Microsoft stop supporting the product in 2 years time. 7 is not without its problems, and Vista was just shite!
