Hi there guys

I shall begin with the obvious

TurboMinis 10 commandments:

1) Thou shalt not use text speak!

Wouldn't dream of it.

2) Thou shalt use the search function!

As i say to the students. Have you googled it? Then leave me alone till you have!

3) Thou shalt not own any burbury!

Definately not

4) Thou shall never add up all the bills!

Can't add up!

5) Thou shalt not make wild claims without evidence.

But everyone knows red engine paint gives you 10bhp

6) Thou shalt all bow down to the fentonator and respect his abuse towards unknown/cocky members

I have no idea who this is but i shall

7) Thou shall post slutty pics of your sister

I dont have a sister but am willing to use my friends sister

8) Thou shalt not pimp my ride

No

9) Thou shalt not question David Vizard

Why would you?

10)Thou shalt always quest for more power

This is the mighty task that brings me to your mighty forum.

My name is Tim and i have spent far too long and too much money on my mini but it's not enough.
In the quest for more power i have decided to turbo as im a big fan of the a - series.
I have considered the other options such as 7 port, 8 port, twin cam and bike engine but have settled on turbo, namely the t2 variety on a mirage manifold to avoid cutting more of the bulkhead.

Im looking at building a daily drive / weekend warrior that is capable of running a steady 10psi with the option to go upto 15.

Anyway im just saying hello to you all and will now return to abusing the search function.

Tim

Well gents, many moons have passed with many an hour spent searching through and reading posts as well as many hours scouring jumble sales and the internet. The parts are slowly coming together.
So far i have -

1 x t2 (just rebuilt it)
1 x t25 (needs a rebuild)
1 x t2 exhaust with t25 intake
1 x turbo head
2 x BOV
1 x intercooler and pipework
1 x rebuilt turbo carb with heatshield
1 x turbo intake manifold.
1 x titanium valve collets. (pointless but shiny)
1 x HKS induction kit
1 x brise high torque starter
2 x gearboxes (had them for a while)

Bits left to get are

base engine
turbo pistons
lightened flywheel assembly
turbo grey clutch
head work
dry deck kit
mirage manifolds
megajolt kit
metro front rad
denso alternator
and many other things im sure.

Being a 3d designer and CAD monkey i am currently modelling most of the parts to see if i can squeeze it all together and to also design and make my own plenum and some other parts.

This is by no means going to be a quick job but what mini project is?

"Pointless but shiny" LOL

as you sounf pretty handy with stuff its worth you looking at the "RTS" clutch based on the verto, a much better setup IMO as its essentially self adjusting and verto's dont seem as prone to judder in my experiance, plus it will give the thrusts an easier time.
