45mm Id fuel hose

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for some 45mm Id hose compatible with fuel. Its to connect my bike carb to the stub manifold. I have been using fuel hose used to connect fuel tanks to fuel fillers its mocal stuff I think. The trouble is its not very strong and over time it starts to split around the join areas. So far I have been including checking the hose during the service or just when I'm giving the car the once over.

I was thinking of using that silicon lined stuff like this

What is everyone's thinking on the suitability for the application? Or do ou have anything else you are aware of?

The thing that concerns me about the hose you have linked to, is that it doesn't state what the inside is lined with

Samco state that their fuel/oil hose is fluorosilicone lined, but that it is for short term contact with fuel and oil, like in a filler neck, but not for continuous contact

As far as I know, only the Samco ProFuel range is suitable for continued fuel use

Go to a local hose and hydraulics place. They will be able to give you some strong as fook hose that will be fuel compatible and probably only change you a couple of quid for it.
