I'm having a spring clear out and have two early 1275 blocks that are taking up valuable space that I want back.

Both stored for years so a lot of surface rust but no serious corossion/pitting in the bores. One is STD, the other +015 (yes that was a standard overbore size many years ago...) and to me they are scrap for weighing in.

But every now and then I see threads about historic racing etc.

Before I dump them, do they have any value ???

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

Don't throw em. They will most likely be salvageable. And depending on what they are could have significant or modest value.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Yes, I have them and the bolts boxed separately and marked for which block they belong to.

I've also got the pistons and rods but I've kept the cranks for myself.

To me they are scrap, they are the early type with the casting void above the centre which (apparently) means they are no good for high RPM but so much stuff goes off to China at the moment to be melted down I just thought I'd see what people thought first.

I'd take them off your hands for some beer tokens.
Getting them up north might be interesting but I'm sure for some TM donations it wouldn't be impossible.
