Hello im not a mechanic but ive been building a mini turbo with my brother who is pretty cleaver with cars. to build some knowledge of how its put together. The car is near no completion but it wont start. about a month as passed and my brother has moved out of my house and never gets the chance to come down and finish it. We checked the timing made sure all the plugs were the right way but there's still no spark. I think it could be the coil or it could just be ive got the wires on the car wrong I have no idea how they go.

Is anyone from the Cardiff (Merthyr) area that would come down and help me start it because im losing interest and haven't a clue what im doing LOL. Id be Grateful

might be a stupid question, but have You checked that theres voltage at the coil?

If theres no voltage then put a temperary wire in just to illiminate any power supply problems to the coil.

Check that all the wires are on the right terminals on the coil.

Once you've got power to the coil, take the HT lead off the centre of the Dizzy cap and see if theres a spark there- if not if you can hold of known working coil try that, as its easy to swap over!

If you don't have any luck with getting a spark still, check the wiring from the ignition module to the coil to see that theres no loose connections, and check that the ignition module is tight.

Other than that without swapping parts out, im not sure!!*happy*
