Ive set the clearances to 14 thou inlet and 16 thou ex.
I still have a little tapper noise - are these correct? I've misplaced the paperwork I got with the cam. It's a billet x drilled if that makes a difference, and I'm using 1.3:1 roller rockers.

Edit;

I've just read elsewhere on the site that it's 12/14 thou??

Can any one confirm this?!

Thanks Al

Piper called me this morning as I'd emailed them asking the question...

They have said the clearances are 10 and 13 thou.... Now I'm really confused.

Does anyone have the documentation that came with they're cam?

Old thread I know but what have people set the valve clearance with this cam and 1.3 roller rockers?

I'm sure I've set mine at 12/14 but it sounds very tappety.
I've checked it's not fouling on the cover as well.

Cheers

JT have you also checked if the rockers are not making contact with the spring retainers as they make contact with the valve. I had this on my MED 1.3 set when I was checking the clearances they were just touching before the roller made contact with the valve stem. worth a look if its a new configuration.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I also have the med 1.3 roller rockers

I've had them on the car before but I've since taken the head off to replace the gasket.

What was the cure for your problem Graham?
