Hey all

Finally got my laptop to speak to the british open classic by going back to one of the early software revisions, heres the map, ive had a look at a few others that have been posted mainly for turbos and bigger engines and they seem to be advaced a lot more at low revs?
the car seems to run and drive well and i think the flat spot is caused by a worn carb which im changing this week.

Engine spec 1275cc MG Metro -standard internals, running an MPI rad setup and a HIF44 with BDL needle i think and a K&N cone filter so pretty standard allround.

Any modifications and reccomendations greatly appreciated!

I think most people run more advance to help with off boost driving.

Mine generally idles at 15-16 degrees. It may also be worth putting a higher value in the 500/10 box to help prevent the engine from stalling if it drops that low.

that looks reasonable for a NA engine,

you can probably advance it more around the cruise area, 50,60,70 kpa 2000-4000 rpm. try to eek it up to 35 degrees at 3000/70 kpa a little at a time keeping an ear for pinking, if it pinks pull 2 deg out at that point... keep the changes cell to cell smooth, and add timing to the whole first row to stabalize idle, try 15 deg in the 500rpm row.
