right, im starting to think about my brakes now, i was gunna use a non-servo system, with a cooper S cylinder, metro turbo brakes at the front, but what at the rear??

or am i being a *?+? and theres a simple-er solution


btw the car was a c reg 998 (discs at front drums on rear)

Make sure what you have got is in A1 condition, add a set of fast road front brake pads (Mintex 1144 etc) and you should find the brakes plenty good enough.
Up to you whether you keep the servo or not, seeing as your car probably does not have one, stick with what you've got, CooperS master cylinder not necessary, and the split circuit brakes you have got are safer in the event of a burst flexible hose or if a rear wheel cylinder starts to leak fluid.

If you do want to upgrade to metro vented discs and 4 pot calipers you are 90% of the way there, all you need to do is add the vented discs and drive flanges, and the 4 pot calipers to your existing front hubs. If you do this you need to use "ERA Turbo" caliper bolts. The reasons why have been discussed a few times before so do a search for "ERA Turbo Bolts".

the bleeders are still sat on my garage floor untouched, been too busy moving house and running in to put up with any more failiure in my life
