these were out of my mates 1380 n/a with a hiff44, that made 115 bananas

The cam seems to of survied but got to have a close inspection yet 13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat! |

The near right 1 is indented by nearly 1mm 13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat! |

It the eu laws and the new hardening process's(not being able to use sulphur) according to my rolling road operator. He's seen it a lot recently. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Its an old med 1380 race, had a 286. Dont know the exact details, but it was a revver with no direct oil feed to the followers. so id guess they ran dry alot

Why would they run dry? the con rods are always bleeding oil and flinging it everywhere. the oil bleeding from the main bearings will also get flung everywhere. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

The springs must have been binding up at full lift if its flared the edges on the cam I seriously doubt it! |

Looked at the cam, its toast worn 2 lobes rite down and flaird the edges

Perhaps With a weak valve spring, the follower, the push rod, the rocker and the valve can loose contact with the lob of the cam as it passes full lift and starts to drop away. the follower will eventually crash down onto the lobe like a hammer On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
