I fitted some curley carbon doors and used the std Mk3 hinges and handles. I think I made cardboard templates from the steel doors first though to make the doors up.

I use the lightweight DSN alloy Mk3 hinges and all the other Mk3 gubbins.

As Scruffy says, use a steel door as a template.

I'm sure you could use Mk1 hinges etc., but I have GRP A panels attached to the front wings, so if I removed my front end I'd have to take the doors off; which would be a pain

I've used spreader plates on the hinges, and just washers wherever else needed.

Not sure on the arc angels doors, but mine are not useable for a road car. They piss in water, open up at speed and are not that secure.

To use a GRP door in a road car I'd want a metal window surround to keep them shut.

I'm looking to do the very same as matt here. Just wondering if anyone has any other opinions on ideas for fitment and do's and donts etc.

Ive got a mk3 shell and doors, but i quite like the look of the billet force racing hinges *smiley* Wondering if this would be a better option than the overkill mk3 efforts.

I can see that the lock / catch mechanism would be easy to swap over, and i guess the exterior handle (shame its so heavy!) but what about opening the door from the inside etc.

This is for a sprint and hillclimb car so not fussed about perfect fit, just needs to work!
