get a multimeter, set it to resistance, say the 20k range. now you have 3 connections, so you have 3 possible pairs of connections (polarity is irrelevant) measure them whilst swinging the tps from the "throttle closed" position to the throttle open position. one pair will stay constant, one pair will increase in resistance one pair will decrease in resistance. noting the 2 pins that stayed constant, the other pin is the TPS's output! now noting the 2 pins that started at a low resistance and moved to a high resistance as the throttle opens, one of these pins will also be one of the pins whose resistance stayed constant. this is the 0v input. now noting the 2 pins that started at a high resistance and moved to a low resistance as the throttle opens, one of these pins will also be one of the pins whose resistance stayed constant. this is the 5v input. Did you ever work this out mate..? Im putting the same tps on my Omex but don't have a sensor connected to a power source so cant use a multimeter! :( Cheers when you do resistance checks, you need to isolate what your testing and make sure power is off. |
