My mate said its a bit of a bitch he ended up with the whole front end off (the new mini comes to bits so easy its just bolts) and did it that way! it don't reallyt show a noticeable differnce down low but its better top end and also the superchargers do need rebuilding after certain amount of miles :( |

its abit before my time these unfortunately, i've not played around that much with the mk1 MINIs but i know the pulley is press fit on there and it is bloody tight in that area so you may struggle with the engine in situ. |

Yes it can be done by its self but its not recommended to go any more that 15%, also it does require the special tool to remove it. If you look at places such as gt tuning, lohen and mstyle tuning you can buy stage 1 kits like you can for the proper mini. The turbo build has finally started |

Buy the parts from Lohen, very friendly & helpful. They can sell you the removal pulley tool as well. Job will take you aprox 4-5hrs. Warm the engine up first as this will help you remove the OE pulley. You can run a 15 or 17% pulley, but if you do decide to go for the 17% you may consider changing the intercooler to a higher spec. Check the bypass valve is sealing properly too as you can gain boost this way too if not correctly set at the factory.
