Northamptonshire.

Hello guys sorry to be a pain

I stripped my gearbox put all new gaskets as most we're leaking oil, the gear box is fine all bearings and that are well in tolerance thank god but here's the help needed part

1: can i use my rubber cuppling diff in a rod change box?
2: how do you put the selector shaft in

You can use any diff in any box as long as you shim it up correctly and use the correct side covers. Why do you want to use rubber couplings?
The selector shaft slides in from inside the gearbox casing before anything else. The Haynes manual will tell you exactly how

I seriously doubt it!

I just got aload of Rubber cuppling ones sat around and just thought it use them on the 850 for now till i rebuild the other box :) and ill check my haynes but sure it wasn't in there :(
