Can anybody reccomend a decent QR steering wheel boss ? I had one years ago but was never happy with it to be honest, there was some movement/play in it when fitted & the MOT man didn't appreciate it.

The Snapoff i find very good. I think this is what you had originally and I remember you saying it had some slop in it, but I have not experienced this. Its well fitted, and never comes loose, it is sometimes difficult to remove as the locking pins have a tendancy to wedge themselves in. The mechanism might suffer wear, at which point it might end up loose, but when new, there is no slack whatsoever.

The Snapoff jobbies are bolt on in the same manor as the steering wheel, they just fit between the boss and the wheel.

Hey Phil. I use a "Raid" one on my mini. There is no welding or permanent modifications needed and it feels very sturdy. Mine was orriginally off a 6r4 so i got it cheaply, so shop around and you might get a good price on a S/H boss. |

It doesn't look bad from the pics, but for the sake of £20 I wouldn't risk it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

The only one I could fine for my motolita wheel was a life line but it was a bit too expensive for me... I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

A mate of mine had a real good one on a mk4 golf, no play whatsoever and came on and off that easy he could take it off and put it back on while driving. (safely of course) but nit sure what it was. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

Im of course going to recomend lifeline... seeing as i work there and assemble them, nice bits of kit, you can get ones which you weld to your colum or one that mounts to a regular boss David. |

Yep they do look good. Is the motolita version really 220 or is that the deamon tweeks special price? I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I dont know really, like i say, i just put them together and we dont often have requests for classic style releases, probably one of the reason their expensive. David. |
