what size is the breather? I recall a few of the others had issues with crank case pressure and resolved it with a larger diameter breather |

The A Series engine likes lots of breathers, the standard one on the timing cover and the clutch cover going to a catch tank is fine!

Found the problem. The breather tank is not made very well, the inlet pipes have a 6mm hole at the end f the tubes, the feeds from the clutch and timing covers were pressuring the system and blowing it out the rocker cover. I removed the pipe to the rocker and the problem went away.

Yep, fuelling from the carbs is way out, we tried all the bits we could but we need a dynojet kit so we can start adjusting. Disappointingly only made 80bhp because it's running very lean at the top end. So lean I'm taking the carbs off and putting the su back on until the fuelling can be sorted out. Need the car for a holiday in 2 weeks and I cant get back on the rollers for weeks. Back to the good old SU. Got to graft a TPS on to it so it will work with the MJ |
