I have already made up the bracketry, got the UJ's, CDS tube etc to make my tilted column, and have even tacked it all up in the car.

Problem is it's only about 3° different to the standard position, and it does feel nicer, but only ever so slightly!

I'm just wondering if it's actually worth it, it's not uncomfortable in standard position and there is 2 less joints (which can start to reduce feedback etc), and each of them is a potential weak link.

From a reliability and response point of view, having no joints/complications has got to be best, theres less weight, and I do expect UJ's to wear as I'm running a tight LSD on rough ground so the steering will get some abuse.

I'd really like to hear from anyone that has done the change incase you say "definitely do it" or vice versa.

Input always appreciated!

Only you can decide that dude. For me to bring the steering column closers to me so i can fit further back in the car and further down....that would be worth it.

I've already modified a straight column using CDS tube so it is lighter and a better length, so position isn't an issue, it's just getting a slightly better angle but as I sit so low in the car the angle isn't too bad anyway!

I know I need to decide but a bit tough! Can always be modified at a later date I guess but a shame I've done most of the work already lol
