HI all

Got a small problem with my metro ........starts on the button allways and this morning was no different.

Was off to Longbridge for a pride of longbridge show, drove over an hour at 60-70 with the odd blast a little faster all seemed fine, get to Beaconsfeild services switch off the engine got get a coffee all is well.

When it comes to leave the car stars on the button as usual but as i attempt to pull off it wont rev over 2000 revs ...
Any ideas i,m thinking fuel pump as it starts and ticks over perfectly and even revs while stationary...under load no chance.

Home oj the back of a AA truck *indifferent*

Anti run on valve stuck open, or possibly carb balance pipe is perished. Anti run on valve is more likely. Just disconnect the pipe from the valve and block the pipe to see if it fixes it.

If the car drives but dies when you start to build up boost, I would be very surprised if it is the fuel pump. Did it drive fine below 2000 rpm?

On the high filler turbo you can't see the fuel return in the filler neck, unfortunately.
