just been doing some work on my g/f's mini and i noticed that there is a crack in the inner wing next to the shock absorber top mount, would this be an mot failiure as its with 12 inches of suspension or will it be ok? its no rusty, just cracked.
also if it is a fail will it pass if i weld up the crack to seal it again??

yes it will fail dan, if the MOT monkey spots it!!! ?????*oh well*

this area is prone to cracking, mine was the same!*frown*

i would weld this crack up and also beef the area with a plate overlapping the crack by some 30mm bolting the shocker bracket over the plate and then welding the plate around the edges neatley.*happy*
