The rules state that you can remove the rear seat in modprod.

You will need wings upto the wheel centres though. Look at bens build thread to see how we do it with a GRP front.

Obviously you'll need a cage too, you only ned a rear one, but everyone uses full (usually bolt-in).

Otherwise I'm sure your car is generally ok except for the engine.

Unfortunately yes, and quite haphazardly.

Don't you need steel plates welded in for the rollcage to sit on too. The exact terms I can't remember but I did read it in the blue book.

Nic - why not make new rear bins and seat base from alu like Dave has. You would keep the majority of the weight saving and probably comply with the blue book.

You won't comply using alloy, it needs to be the same material as manufactured. But once painted who would know?

Well Will? What were your thoughts. I was lucky enough to compete there the first time it was re-run back in 1997/9 before it was totally b*ggered up

A really good event. Well run, friendly and challenging. I was about 15th overall and 4th in class. I was 2nd in class until Eric in the Clan somehow found a second!???!!!

We'll definately be returning.
