What's everybody using for main bearings at the moment ? Having a look on Minispares there's a big difference in price between the basic ones & the uprated Mahle ones
Has anybody had any issues with the cheaper ones ?

I would spend the money if going racing, but not for the occasional blast on the strip.

For an engine thats not revving hard i'd just use standard ones.

For an engine that sees some serious abuse I'd just fit vandervell and have done with it.

I've got the glyco ones atm :) havent got the engine in yet so can let you know?

That said my spec is alot lower than yours

I've been using ACL ones lately. No issues, although a bit early to be conclusive. Puzzled about the price on the Mahle ones though...

Neither of those listed are the cheap Glacier tin/aluminium bearings.

I would go with the ACL VP91886 option. That's what we were sold by MED as being the best race bearings.

With the way my thrusts wore out i would be inclined to put in the cheaper bearings
