I bought a fancy new Molybdenum coated gear set for the new build but my question is dose mini mania sell some bulk rings / synchros that match the gear set i have and if not who dose i cant seem to find them anywhere that say they are good to use on Molybdenum coated gearsets except mini sport and they are out of stock with no expected delivery date so can i use any good quality ones? |

Use the best old ones that you can lay your hands on. The modern ones aren't as good as the OEM ones. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I managed to get some rover ones from Minispares at the end of last year. Don't know whether they still have any. |

When rebuilding my box I used the originals rather then the set of steel minispares ones I had, the new minispares ones looked worse then the 40k ones I re-used.

When I rebuilt my box I bought new genuine Rover bulk rings from Somerford, they were half the price of Mini spares. I don't know if they still have any left. |

Use a plastic tie around the body of the syncro, get the outer part on a flat surface, slide the middle down with springs and balls resting on the outer ring followed by a plastic tie, make sure its pulled tight on the middle slide it over the ball bearings, then push the syncro together, that's how I do mine..
