For those that have coilovers (protec ) would be great could somone measure the open and closed lengths of the shocks and see if theres a spring lb or was there options on different lb springs to get ??

Any help would be great as allways gents

The shocks depending on what you go for, come 3 heights - standard, lowered and very low. The travel is pretty much 3 inches from open to closed on the very low ones I have. with 125lb springs it corners well, and the ride is very firm but not unnacceptable on the road. but for a track car obviously ride is not a concern.

not sure about fronts or rears, but kevin (I think) the owner of protech was very helpful whenever I had some queries.

150lbs rear and 350lbs front...think the rears dont have enough travel though as they knock a bit been meaning to contact protech about it for ages, huddersfield were good they asked me what springs I wanted for the fronts.

Nigel, are you running a series stil?

Thanks for the info.

Ive got protec shocks on allready but just got some old springs sat in place.
Just thaught if id got a starting point i can work from there

Back to Fucking Tool status

My ones are progressive at the front 290/275 iirc due to going for a light build 275 first bit then onto 290 for road use and track.
Ill eventually get the rears to at 115/105

Drives
