Cancelled order £250 a set delivered.

I've picked up a set of the dished ones.

Allegedly 7cc with the cutouts. Custom made by Omega.

I'd measure those. They seem much bigger than 7cc.

I was planning on measuring them anyway.

I wonder if they were already stamped 7cc before the cutouts were machined ?

I agree with V that they look more than 7cc (but the reflections from the photos might be deceptive).

They do look nice though :)

I've just dropped MED a quick question asking if they are 7cc including or excluding dish. But apparently they come from Omega with the dish in so I would be surprised if they were stamped pre-cutout?

I'll still be measuring though.

Exactly. Every cut out is ATLEAST 1cc.

There is no way another 4cc in the cut outs alone

More like 0.5cc each at the high end. The cutouts in my pistons although small only put the total up by 1cc

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Just had confirmation from MED 7cc + cutouts.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

My understanding is that MED bought in 40 sets of pistons and with help from a certain conversion specialist had a CNC program written to cut the dishes.

So 7cc plus cut-outs makes sense.

The understanding was that the conversion company would buy the pistons, but they dropped out leaving MED holding the baby.

Shame for MED but bully for me.

Apparently they've pretty much shifted the lot now. All the flat tops have gone and they only had 2 sets of 7cc jobbies left when I'd ordered mine.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered a set to Aus - would have preferred the forged jobs but at that price it's hard to argue!
