just been looking at all the other posts on this subject but am a bit confused, my bulkhead is already modified from the first build so would it be easier to just get an adaptor plate and use a t2 or get the mirage kit (i hear the manifolds dont flow well due to the compact space when pushing lots of power). Also can i use a t25 as there seems to be mixed opinions about whether these are good or not due to a/r size etc, cheers

No, my understanding is the mirrage kit is a bolt on job.

Where as there's a lot more work than just the adapter plate if you go that route.
The oil return causes considerable head scratching, unless you do what dave + jimster have done and weld a return into the gearbox.

You also have to modify the actuator mounting (easy), need to sort out water pipes for the cooled turbo, get a oil feed made.
And finaly there's the exhaust side that needs moding.

Can't comment on the T25 but the T2 is awesome! (Best single mod you can do IMO)

As I'm aware, all this is also needed for the mirage setup?

I stand corrected then, I thought the kit was lock stock.

If you don't intend removing the engine to do the conversion, the try and get hold of another engine to use as a test jig to make your parts, I would say the oil return would be almost impossible to fabricate with the engine in situ.

It took me a lot longer to do this mod than I thought it would!

The term 'comprehensive' sounds like it means it!

The mirage "kit" is just the exhuast manifold, turbo elbow and downpipe.

You will still need to work out a way of sorting the oil feed (some t25's are different, oil return and water cooling pipes if applicable.

Good luck trying to make an oil return with the engine in the car....

edit: And change the actuator round 180degrees if the bulkhead box is NOT fitted.

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

You should be able to get the oil return into the block using the Mirage kit. If you fit a T2 to the Metro manifold the Turbo sits somewhat lower and sorting a return into the usual place is more difficult, though possible as i found out.
