Hi all

trying to get the pickup on the road and coming across all the small issues with putting a 1275 head on the 998 block, the engine is all good and ive just modded the water pump to clear the head with a smaller pulley on the wat.

The next issue i have is due to the block being about 1/2" smaller than the 1275 lump, and the location of the stat housing being different i cant get the 998 bracket to fit and the standard 1275 bracket needs to have a 1/2" step in it so that i can connect it to the radiator shroud.

Does anyone know if there is a specific top radiator bracket for this conversion? if so where can i find it as minispares and minisport dont stock anything?

Any help greatly appreciated

Gaz

I've always just used the 1275 bracket, never noticed that it didn't fit.

I'm a propper bodger though!
