I use a grinder with slitting disc, normal holesaw, and die grinder. All work well for me. www.topcatcustom.co.uk |

If your drilling holes using a twist drill, drill it the size you need with the first drill. Ive found that if you use a pilot drill, the second drill tends to snag up and it could cause the gelcoat/topcoat to crack around the hole. I cut the holes for my gauges slightly smaller than needed and finished with a file to avoid any chipping.

For a long trim (like round the arches of a front end) I have a GRP blade for my jigsaw. Makes easy work with a neat edge. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |

Can you put masking tape over it and mark where you want to cut to stop it from splintering and the gel coat cracking? The turbo build has finally started |

also put some wood or other backing material for drilling through iinto as it will help prevent breakout and splintering of the holes. |
