Evening all,

I'm making a furnace at home for some brass casting and so I need to make some refractory cement to line it with. Rather than shelling out for the stuff on ebay I thought i'd ask here as someone may be in the trade!

you could line it with scamelex board(vermiculite based board used as a replacement for refractory firebrick) and fire cement the joints.not sure what empsyou'll be reaching but this board will be good for upto 800 deg celsius.
