ive been building mini turbos since around 1994.
current model is nearly repaired after sitting for 6-7 years on the driveway.

car:

Exterior:
1989 red mini.
13in revolution rfx

interior :
6point cage welded in.
oil pressure gauge + 2 x grey escort rs turbo recaros minus frames bolted to floor.

suspension:
front : poly bushed, turbo brakes + calipers, coil over spax minus coil springs (too stiff)
rear: spax,hilo,neg camber brackets,minifins etc ..... the usual :)

engine:
mg metro turbo.
*GENUINE* leyland 649 race cam.
mg head with turbo exhaust valves/guides etc and homemade porting.
modified plenium (std dumpy welded up) - aftermarket dumpy fitted.
intercooler off rover diesel -cant remember which one. :)
2 core rad.
mini sport 4 speed sc box + transfers
mini sport X pin diff
grey clutch + race plate + lightened flywheel and backplate

bob weights welded up in dizzy on a race cam - (see vizard - tuning a series )

Boost - ? whatever i damn well feel like ...upto 25psi on a cat and fiddle day racing the bikes.
bhp - no goddam idea...about enuf at 18 psi i reckon.

GUYS - u really need to be putting celly paint thinners (toluene/xylene) in your fuel.
melted pistons - no more
melted head gaskets - whats that.

I have problems with my goddam carb freezing!!!!
Can get 5-10 miles before - cough splutter....cuts out...wait 5 mins to defrost...then off again.
Even after a thrashing the engine bay is COLD!!!!
i mean like ...luke war at most on the block!!

Instructions:
Put in 100% toluene/xylene
advance timing till it kicks back turning over...
ease off till it fires....sorted.
(thats with the bob weights welded up in dizzy on a race cam tho)

MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile
