Has anybody got a shell to hand to take a couple of measurements from? I forgot to get them before I dropped my shell of with Rick...

I need the diameter of the holes for the pin switch for the interior light in the A post and the distance from the top of the hole to the top of the bottom bit of metal the check strap slides though.

Need to make matching holes in my doors for cables to run through...

Thank you please.

Hole is 12.2mm dia.

Top of hole to bottom of square hole for check strap is 25.5mm.

Not sure if that's what you mean, I'm a bit confused by the second bit. Measurements taken from a heratige panel I have.

Thanks Wil.

There is a square hole in the A post and then behind that there are two horizontal metal plates that the check strap slides through. The check strap bracket on the door will be roughly parallel to them so a good point for me to measure from.

Main hole 11.8 without scraping the paint away so probably started as 12mm or 15/32"

The hole for the selftapper was probably 2mm before the selftapper got screwed in.

distance between top of circular hole and bottom of square hole is 26mm - that is to the actual square openning in the A pillar - on the one I just measured the re-inforcing plate (inside the A pillar) overlaps the hole slightly making the measurement slightly greater.

Note the hole for the self tapper is NOT vertically in line with the other two.

Edit - measurements taken from spare 80's shell, not a new panel.

Thanks Rod. Should be able to get it close enough from those measurements.
